The Bike Camping Trailer!

My bicycle camping trailer is currently under construction near Cologne, Germany. A real expert in steel and aluminum fabrication is working on it and is building a really strong outdoor camping trailer.

Mustafa is a great guy. We are in contact every day and brainstorm how we could improve the camper!

He's really passionate about what he does, and he's a real artist when it comes to working with metal.

It would be much more pleasant to live here if we had more people of his caliber in my area...

Today (20.04.2025) I have visited Mustafa to take a look at the trailer and discussed a few things!

The primer is already on the trailer. It will,

OF COURSE,

be painted in olive...

The solar panel has already been installed!

The camping trailer is made of

Aluminum.

And the frame out of Steel

It is extremely well-made and just right for a long journey!

It gets a nice pop-up window!

With a blackout blind and a mosquito net, of course!

Some electronics have already been installed!

The entrance door will become a porthole window! And the entire camper will be insulated from the inside as well!

Dimensions of the camper:

2 m x 0.80 m x 0.90 m

Weight will probably be around 55 kg...

When the camper is ready, it will be delivered by Mustafa to Datteln, in about 2–3 weeks !

Ventilation is very important in such a small camper. That's why we've fitted two vents, a large opening window and two opening portholes - that should do the job!
